ACTION NEEDED

ACTION NEEDED Greetings Fellow Patriots,

First the good news: Congratulations on 2 big victories this past week. Defeating the Omnibus and Defeating the DREAM Act (for now)

There is no doubt your voices were heard!

The Bad News: While you have been out fighting crowds and traffic trying to complete your Christmas shopping, the current Congress has been hard at work trying to complete theirs. For some reason they seem to think that the American people have requested the following: 1. The Food Safety Bill (S.501) that we thought was dead, then all of a sudden unannounced, the Senate came to a unanimous vote in favor of the bill. That means that not one, NOT ONE of our Senators voted to stop it. The vote was apparently a “voice vote” in which votes are recorded by saying “Yea” or “Nay.” It is then up to the presiding officer’s judgment as to how to record the vote. Then any Senator has the ability to request for a recorded vote. Out of courtesy, these requests are traditionally accepted and a roll call vote is performed. 2. The START Treaty is being debated in the Senate. Regardless of your stance on this bill, should a lame duck session of Congress really be debating treaties that bind us to other nations? Especially after the “shellacking” that the current Congress received. 3. The Continuing Resolution for the budget needs to pass so that the government can continue to be funded. The funding runs out Tuesday and you better believe that they want to load this pre-Christmas feast with a lot of added pork. 4. Net Neutrality regulations will likely be passed as an order by the FCC today. Net Neutrality failed in an overwhelmingly liberal Congress back in September. Perhaps this was by design so that they wouldn’t have to take the heat from the Tea Party movement. As it stands we will have little effect persuading the non-elected, non-accountable FCC Board. We will have a chance to fight this in the 112th Congress so we must stay aware of this situation. 5. Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill (S. 3991) This bill would expand “big labor’s” control over public employees.  Listen to podcast about the bill.

CALL TO ACTION: HotAir has a post challenging the Constitutionality of the Lame Duck Session based on the 20th Amendment. The post says the20th Amendment, “which was ratified on January 23, 1933. In essence, the amendment was meant ‘to kill off sessions like this-in which defeated legislators return to legislate.’ ‘

Campaign for Liberty has sent an email out that says, it is time to tell Congress to pass the Continuing Resolution and then adjourn. Based on the feedback from you, the grassroots, let’s join them in this effort! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! They MUST start listening to us and representing us! Let’s dial up the phones, blaze through the faxes, and swamp the emails with one simple message.

CONGRESS: STOP NOW AND GO HOME!! WE MADE IT KNOWN LOUD AND CLEAR ON NOVEMBER 2ND THAT ALL WE WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A NEW CONGRESS! LET THE 112TH CONGRESS DO THE JOB THAT WE HAVE RELINQUISHED FROM YOUR HANDS!

Call your Congressman and 2 Senators and tell them it is time to pass the original one Continuing Resolution and then adjourn. Ask them also to oppose the Police and Firefighter Bargaining Monpoly Bill.. After those calls, let’s call the the leadership in both parties and in both Chambers and tell them the same.  If the lines are busy in DC, call the state offices. In fact, call the state offices anyway! They need to hear from us.

Let’s make it pay off again this week.

END THE INCOME TAX NOW!

Dr. Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D. – Next year, 2011, may well be the year in which a movement to abolish the Internal Revenue Service and eliminate the income tax can move forward vigorously.

The United States has reached a point where half of all Americans no longer pay income tax.

In 2009, roughly 47 percent of all U.S. households, roughly 71 million households, will not owe any federal income tax, according to estimates by the www.taxpolicycenter.org/index.cfm Tax Policy Center, money.cnn.com/2009/09/30/pf/taxes/who_pays_taxes/?postversion=2009093012 as reported by CNN.

The top 10 percent of earners – households making an average of $326,400 in 2006, pay approximately 73 percent of the income tax collected by the federal government, www.usatoday.com/money/perfi/taxes/2010-04-07-income-taxes_N.htm according to an Associated Press report.

Meanwhile, the bottom 40 percent end up making a profit from the federal government, because they get more money in tax credits than they owe in taxes, with the result that the government sends them a check at tax time.

The vast majority of the households that pay no federal income tax, 63.5 million households in total, fall into the category of making under $50,000 a year.

Moreover, almost 20 percent of all U.S. households will get tax “refunds,” in the form of earned income tax credits, even though they have paid no income tax in the first place.

When all income taxes are paid by half of all U.S. households, the pressure to expand social welfare entitlement payments to the half of all households that pay no income tax will be overwhelming, to the point of pushing the United States further into bankruptcy.

In 2011, the Tea Party movement will continue to grow, as middle-class Americans increasingly say “No” to a redistribution of what little remains of dwindling family income in economic times unlikely to ease under current Obama administration economic policies.
